Salik Surges Ahead with Dh822-Million Profit in Nine Months

Dubai’s Salik is hitting the fast lane, reporting a net profit of Dh822 million for the first nine months of 2024.

The toll operator achieved its highest-ever Q3 EBITDA at Dh376.7 million, marking a 14% jump year-on-year. Net profit before taxes climbed 12.5% to Dh903.3 million, with an impressive Q3 performance showing a 19.6% increase to Dh304.7 million.

Driving this success is a surge in revenue-generating trips, up 5.1% year-on-year to355.6 million, while toll fees and fines saw strong growth. Fines alone contributed Dh174.8 million, up 7.6%, making up 10.7% of total revenue. Tag activation fees also soared, rising 23.3% to Dh30.1 million for the period.

Adding to the momentum, Salik's barrier-free parking system at Dubai Mall has been a hit, processing 3.8 million transactions since its July launch and generating Dh2.57million in revenue. The company is now gearing up for the debut of two new toll gates on November 24 at Business Bay Crossing and Al Safa South, expanding its network to 10 gates and opening new avenues for growth.
