Pearl 62: Setting Sail in Style

Attention sailing aficionados! Looks like we’ve stumbled upon something that'll make you trade in your city penthouse for the high seas. Enter the Pearl 62. A yacht so spacious, there’s probably some Hogwarts-level wizardry involved.

Starting from its rear, the Pearl 62 offers an up/down bathing platform. Imagine the delight when this seemingly simple platform moonlights as a sea terrace at the flick of a switch. Oh, and in case you were wondering where to park your jet ski after zipping around in style? The transom's got you. It gracefully lifts to reveal a garage, which, if you're feeling rather Downton Abbey, can double up as a crew cabin. Jeeves would approve.

Slide over to the cockpit, and you'll find a table that has hosted more soirées than my entire dining room. The glass doors leading to the saloon have a bit of a party trick. They slide all the way, turning the saloon and cockpit into a grand ballroom of sorts. If Cinderella had this yacht, she'd never leave.

Let’s talk interiors. The Pearl 62 doesn't just offer choices; it offers themes from ‘Taupe’, which is far more glamorous than it sounds, to ‘Luxury’, which is exactly as glamorous as it sounds. The saloon itself feels like it's auditioning for a role in a Broadway musical with its dramatic, sweeping glazed areas.

Culinary enthusiasts take note. The aft houses a galley that could make Gordon Ramsay weep with joy. Miele appliances wink at you from every corner. And for the captain in you, the indoor helm station ensures you're always in control, even if it's just the playlist.

Oh, but the real pièce de résistance are the accommodations. Four guest cabins and a full-beam owners' cabin that's so expansive you can almost get lost. From where we stand, it’s nothing short of extraordinary for a yacht of this size and pace.

Talking of pace, with its sporty design and a top speed of 32 kt, the Pearl 62 is not just about lounging in luxury. It's about making waves, literally. Thanks to Volvo IPS propulsion, this beauty glides on water as gracefully as I do on a dance floor after three margaritas. And for the tech-savvy, joystick controls and a dynamic Garmin touch-screen display ensure even the most technophobic can steer this ship.
