Starting this week, 10 free buses will run between the mosque and Al Rabdan bus station, easing pressure on traffic during evening prayers and late-night services, which see a sharp rise in visitors during the last ten nights of the holy month.
To help manage the flow, digital surveillance cameras have been installed around the mosque to monitor road conditions and respond quickly to congestion or emergencies. Mobile electronic signs will direct drivers to designated parking zones, while permanent display boards will share real-time updates on the best available routes.
Traffic inspectors will also be stationed at key intersections to guide vehicles and ensure smooth movement, supported by extra patrols and towing services to address any disruptions. The city is also doubling the number of available taxis in the area to meet increased demand, offering worshippers multiple transport options during one of the busiest times of the year at the mosque.
