The study analysed 62 global cities across multiple factors including safety, gender-based experiences, social media visibility, and variety of activities. Dubai scored highest overall, with a total of 7.71 out of 10, pushing Krakow and Madrid into second and third place.
The emirate’s low crime rates, women-only sections on public transport, and strong feeling of safety while walking alone at night were key reasons behind the ranking. Dubai scored particularly high in categories such as ‘feeling safe walking alone at night’ (83.11/100) and ‘feeling safe despite gender’ (86.23/100).
The report also praised Dubai’s wide range of activities, awarding it 4.58 out of 5 for entertainment and attractions – from beaches and desert adventures to upscale shopping and cultural experiences. It was also the most talked-about city on TikTok, with 35.7 million hashtags related to solo female travel.
This new accolade adds to a growing list of global recognitions for the emirate in 2025 – which also includes being named the second safest city in the world and the world’s cleanest city earlier this year.
