Abu Dhabi to Launch World’s First AI-Native Government by 2027

Abu Dhabi has announced plans to establish the first fully AI-native government globally by 2027, setting a transformative benchmark in public administration. With a Dhs13 billion investment, the initiative aims to integrate artificial intelligence into every aspect of government operations and digital services.

The ambitious strategy involves automating processes, digitalizing services, and leveraging sovereign cloud computing to enhance security and efficiency. The integration of AI will reshape how public services are delivered, enabling faster response times, smarter systems, and more personalized interactions for residents and businesses.

The AI-native government initiative is projected to add over Dhs24 billion to Abu Dhabi’s GDP and create more than 5,000 jobs, with a focus on nurturing local talent and advancing Emiratisation. As part of the plan, the 'AI for All' programme will offer training, workshops, and tools to equip citizens with the skills needed for a tech-driven future.

In addition to improving services, the initiative includes rolling out more than 200 AI-based solutions across various government functions. These innovations aim to enhance transparency, reduce operational costs, and position Abu Dhabi as a global hub for AI advancements.
