The auction includes two-, three-, four- and five-digit plates across various categories (AA, BB, CC, IJ, OP, T to Z), but it’s the ultra-rare combinations that are expected to spark fierce competition. Among the highlights are 22 CC, 19 BB and 20 BB – all likely to command high prices. For context, last year’s AA16 plate sold for a staggering Dhs7.32 million.
Participation, however, doesn’t come cheap. Interested bidders must pay a Dhs120 registration fee and submit a security cheque of Dhs25,000 to secure a spot. Seats at the live event will be limited, so pre-registration is strongly recommended either via the RTA website, app, or at Customer Happiness Centres in Umm Ramool, Deira and Al Barsha.
The live auction kicks off at 2pm and is expected to attract serious interest, with personalised plates continuing to be a status symbol on Dubai’s roads.
