The new service, rolled out in partnership with telecom provider e&, allows passengers to access the internet for up to two hours per session while waiting for or transferring between buses and marine transport.
Free Wi-Fi is now available at 17 bus stations, including Union, Al Ghubaiba, Gold Souq, Ibn Battuta, Deira City Centre, Al Satwa, Al Qusais, Al Jaffliya, Al Sabkha, Oud Metha, Al Baraha, Mall of the Emirates, International City, Jebel Ali, Business Bay 2, Hatta and Al Karama.
It is also available at 12 marine transport stations, such as Al Seef, Al Baniyas, Al Fahidi, Dubai Festival City, Al Jaddaf, Business Bay, Sheikh Zayed Road Marine, Bluewaters, Marasi, Godolphin, Deira Old Souq and Bur Dubai.
This move is part of a wider effort by the RTA to enhance the public transport experience through digital upgrades and smart services. In addition to the new rollout, Wi-Fi UAE – powered by du – remains available across all major public transport modes in the city, including metro, taxis, buses and marine services.
