The updated note keeps the familiar red and pink tones but introduces new landmarks. On the front, it features Umm Al Quwain National Fort, a historic monument symbolising the UAE’s heritage. The reverse showcases the Port of Fujairah and Etihad Rail, highlighting the country’s growing infrastructure and future ambitions.
The previous Dhs100 design, first introduced in 1982 and last updated in 2015, depicted Al Fahidi Fort and the Dubai World Trade Centre.
The new banknote includes advanced security elements, such as the KINEGRAM COLORS multicolour chip, designed to prevent counterfeiting and increase user confidence. The note has officially entered circulation and will gradually replace older versions while continuing to represent the UAE’s evolving identity.
