The upgrades include new road links to reduce congestion, improved roadside parking, upgraded pavements, and better street lighting. These changes aim to make commuting more efficient, with expected reductions in travel times of up to 40 percent.
Neighbourhoods included in the project range from Al Barsha and Jumeirah to Al Satwa and Mirdif, with a total of 11.5 kilometres of road undergoing enhancements. Once complete, the improvements will support smoother movement in and out of these areas while providing safer and more accessible streets for pedestrians.
The RTA expects to complete the project by 2026, marking a significant step forward in Dubai’s efforts to modernise urban infrastructure and accommodate the needs of its growing population.
