UAE Introduces Facial Scanning for Instant Health Checks

A groundbreaking health innovation is set to transform the way UAE residents monitor their well-being – right from their smartphones. The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) has unveiled ‘Biosigns,’ a new system that enables users to check vital health markers, including cholesterol levels, haemoglobin, blood pressure, heart rate, and stress levels, using nothing but their phone’s camera.

Revealed at Arab Health 2025 in Dubai, Biosigns leverages advanced technology to analyze subtle changes in skin tone and blood flow beneath the surface, providing real-time, accurate health readings. Unlike traditional health screenings that require lab tests, needles, or additional sensors, this system offers a completely non-invasive and hassle-free alternative.

The results are delivered instantly via an app or website, making it easier than ever to track key health indicators from the comfort of home. By offering quick and accessible monitoring, Biosigns could help detect potential health issues early, allowing for timely medical intervention while also reducing strain on healthcare facilities.

This new technology aligns with the UAE’s vision of integrating smart health solutions into daily life, making preventive care more efficient and widely accessible. As the system rolls out, residents will soon be able to perform routine health checks in seconds – no appointments, no waiting rooms, just a simple scan with their phone.
