Under the new regulations, the emirate’s emblem may only appear in specific locations, documents, and events with prior authorisation, while the Dubai Government logo is limited to official government properties, records, and digital platforms. The law explicitly bans their use in advertising, product branding, or promotional activities, with severe penalties for violations, including fines of up to Dhs500,000 or imprisonment for up to five years.
The updated emblems, introduced in 2024, incorporate symbols reflecting Dubai’s heritage and vision, including the falcon for ambition, the dhow for trade, the palm tree for hospitality, and the national flag as a representation of security. The General Secretariat of the Executive Council will release a detailed manual outlining further guidelines on proper usage.
