The marathon will begin across from Madinat Jumeirah in Umm Suqeim, setting the stage with a stunning view of the Burj Al Arab. The event features three races tailored for different levels: a 4km fun run for families and beginners, a 10km road race for seasoned runners, and the full 42.195km marathon for those ready to tackle the ultimate challenge.
Each route showcases Dubai’s diverse landscape. The 4km course loops around the Madinat area, perfect for a leisurely jog. The 10km route extends further, taking runners past landmarks like Dubai College and Dubai Internet City. The marathon’s full distance adds an extra twist with its two laps along the scenic Jumeirah Beach Road, offering participants breathtaking views as they push through the miles.
For those yet to register, there’s still time. Sign-ups are available online, with fees starting at Dhs183 for the fun run, Dhs312 for the 10km race, and Dhs550 for the full marathon. Early birds should head to the Adidas store at Dubai Mall between January 8 and 11 to collect their race numbers. The race bibs come equipped with MikaTag timing chips to accurately record each runner’s performance.
With thousands of participants expected, road closures will be in place in Umm Suqeim and surrounding areas to accommodate the event. Spectators are encouraged to join in the excitement, cheering on the runners as they make their way through the city.
Whether you’re chasing a new personal best or soaking in the vibrant atmosphere, the 2025 Marathon is more than a race – it’s a celebration of fitness, perseverance, and the spirit of Dubai.
