Ras Al Khaimah has been ranked as the top global destination for expats, according to a survey by InterNations, a network connecting millions of expats worldwide. The emirate surpassed 52 other cities in categories that matter most to expatriates, including housing, administration, and digital accessibility.
The survey participants commended Ras Al Khaimah for its user-friendly systems. Finding accommodation was highlighted as a significant strength, with 75% of respondents reporting no difficulties. Administrative processes, such as opening bank accounts or obtaining visas, were also rated highly, with 69% of participants citing ease despite language barriers.
The emirate secured second place globally in the ‘Working Abroad’ category, reflecting its strong job market and professional opportunities. Additionally, its ranking as fifth for ease of settling in underscores the welcoming nature of the community and the convenience of everyday life.
InterNations, which surveyed expats from around the world, represents over 5.4 million members in 166 countries. This recognition positions Ras Al Khaimah as a leader among cities offering a balanced, expat-friendly environment.
