Abu Dhabi is set to expand its hospitality offerings with the addition of 2,300 new hotel rooms by the end of 2025. This initiative is part of the emirate’s larger strategy to enhance its tourism sector and diversify its economy, positioning itself as a key destination for global travelers.
The expansion will bring Abu Dhabi’s total hotel capacity to over 36,000 rooms, with plans to increase this to 50,000 by 2030. These developments align with the emirate’s vision to attract 39 million visitors annually by the end of the decade, reflecting an expected annual growth rate of 7% in tourist numbers.
Tourism’s economic impact is also forecasted to grow significantly, with contributions to Abu Dhabi’s GDP projected to rise from AED 49 billion in 2023 to AED 90 billion by 2030.
