Dubai Opens New 3-Lane Bridge to Deira

Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced the opening of a new three-lane bridge designed to ease traffic flow for motorists heading from Sheikh Rashid Road to Khaled bin Al Waleed Street.

The bridge, a key component of Phase 4 of the Al Shindagha Corridor Development Project, stretches 4.8 km and aims to significantly improve connectivity in one of Dubai’s busiest areas.

This new infrastructure links Sheikh Rashid Road at its intersection with Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Street to Al Saqr intersection on Khaled bin Al Waleed Street. It provides better access to prominent locations such as the Al Shindagha Historical Area, the iconic Infinity Bridge, and Deira.

The bridge will notably reduce travel time from 12 minutes to just 4 for vehicles traveling between Sheikh Rashid Road intersection and the Infinity Bridge, ensuring a signal-free journey for motorists. By addressing congestion issues in the area, the new addition is expected to enhance the overall efficiency of Dubai's road network and support the city’s vision of seamless urban mobility.
