Zayed International Airport Launches U.S. Preclearance Facility

Abu Dhabi Airports and Etihad Airways have launched a U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) preclearance facility at Zayed International Airport, making travel to the U.S. much easier.

This allows travelers to complete customs and immigration checks before boarding, eliminating long waits upon arrival in the U.S.

This facility is the only U.S. preclearance site in the Middle East and Asia, allowing travelers to arrive in the U.S. without further checks. Equipped with facial recognition technology and dedicated boarding gates, it promises a seamless experience.

Elena Sorlini, CEO of Abu Dhabi Airports, expressed pride in this unique offering that enhances the airport's status as a leading travel hub. Etihad Airways CEO Antonoaldo Neves highlighted that this milestone positions Abu Dhabi as the most convenient gateway to the U.S., enabling guests to bypass arrival queues and enjoy efficient connections.
